The Wahoo CAT5 floating docks we install carry the factory's 20-year limited warranty for the original owner, covering manufacturing defects, broken structural components, and broken welds on professionally installed docks. We'll walk you through the current published coverage when we scope your dock.

Factory warranty documents

It depends on the configuration, site access, water conditions, and any permitting. A straightforward floating dock goes in faster than a multi-section run with a gangway and a roof. We'll give you a real timeline for your site once we've scoped it.

Covered docks choose between two roof systems: metal roof panels in a wide range of fade-resistant colors, or stone-coated steel tile rated for hail and high winds. Almost everything we install is an aluminum floating dock, because on Texas water with changing levels a floating deck stays at a usable height all season instead of stranding you high or underwater. If your shoreline calls for a different approach, we'll say so at the site visit.

Very little. Aluminum has nothing to rot and no finish to reseal each spring, so upkeep is mostly a rinse-down. Built and installed correctly, one of these docks is a decades-long structure. That is the whole reason we build in aluminum.

CAT5 is the premium residential floating-dock system we spec and install: a 9-inch aluminum mainframe with integrated gussets, interlocking connections that let the dock support significantly more than its own load, noise-eliminating bushings at the metal-to-metal contact points, and high-impact polyethylene floats with a foam core. Each dock is engineered to the site's weight and wind-load requirements.

The engineered railing system offers custom glass rail, picket rail, or cable railing, matched to the dock's frame. We'll help you choose based on the view you want to keep, kids and pets, and how you actually use the dock.

It depends on the body of water and who has authority over it. A private pond you own is usually the simplest case; docks on shared or public-authority lakes can require a permit or approval before installation. We'll flag what your site is likely to need as we scope it, but the permitting authority makes the final call.
